Welcome to 2024

The New Year started with Mabe Ladies taking a few months to expand our repertoire, adding new pieces and embracing an ever widening variety of musical styles... we have a wonderful new arrangement for Choir, Keyboard & Tenor Recorder of "Blow the Wind Southerly", arranged by our Accompanist Rico & our Deputy MD Sue. We have added Offenbach's" Barcarolle" from The Tales of Hoffman to our repertoire & are taking on Gershwin's "I've got Rhythm" in the coming weeks... in the pipeline we have "The Rhythm of Life" from "Sweet Charity"; we plan also to have a few more new pieces for Christmas."

Sadly this year 2 of our long serving members of the choir, Jean Wattis & Nina Cooper passed away, happily we have welcomed 4 new members since last September and are always keen to offer a great big Mabe welcome to anyone wishing to join... no audition, no need to read music.

We will be kicking off our concert season on May 24 at Our Lady of the Portal & St Piran RC Church in Truro at 7.30pm.

We are excited for the year ahead when amongst other things we will be collaborating with Four Lanes & Treverva MVC's ... see the Forthcoming Concerts Page for the current list of concert.

we can't wait to welcome audiences to join us in celebrating our love of all things singing and entertainment. 🥰
