...on Saturday Nov 26 at the stunning Church of All Saints Church in Falmouth, Mabe Ladies gave a concert dedicated to celebrating the Birthday of one of our loyal followers. Alan has been a keen fan of our choir since the days when Edgar Kessel was our MD... we are talking decades!

Introduced and compered by our former MD (now President) Amanda Ward,in an evening celebrating our diverse and entertaining musical tastes including songs such as Faure's "Cantique de Jean Racine", Puccini's "Humming Chorus", "The Prayer", Scottish Folk Song arrangements by Rico Gerber, to "The Seal Lullaby", "A thousand Years" & New York New York, to mention but a few; the Choir sang their hearts out to a truly dedicated audience, some of whom had travelled from Plymouth on a truly wet and windy Autumnal evening.

The concert included wonderful readings and jokes from choir members as well as a solo performance of "Blow the Wind Southerly" and the gorgeous duet "Evening Hymn " from Humperdink's "Hansel & Gretel".

What an evening at in the glorious acoustic of All Saints Falmouth, with fabulous Raffle Prizes as well as a truly characteristic Mabe Ladies performance!

Don't miss our forthcoming concert on Dec 18 with Treverva MVC , 7.30pm at Parish Church King Charles the Martyr Falmouth.
